Jadan Work Trip Description

Trip Details
Location: Cuenca, Ecuador
Dates: July 24 - August 3, 2026
Type: Cultural immersion, community projects, and family home-stay.

Registration Requirements (Due April 1, 2026)
- Valid passport through February 2027
- Color copy of passport and one additional photo ID
- Proof of medical insurance valid in Ecuador
- Completed Nomads of Hope Health Profile
- Completed Nomads of Hope Volunteer Release & Waiver
- Trip cancellation insurance

Payment Schedule
Total Trip Cost: $1,500.00

Total due by April 1, 2026
Included in the $1,500.00 cost is a $500.00 non-refundable deposit

Trip Inclusions
- Cuenca Airport/Bus Terminal pickup and transportation to lodging
- All lodging and meals during project
- Nomads of Hope T-Shirt
- All group activities in Cuenca
- All planned group activities on after-trip

Not Included
- Souvenirs
- Extra activities on after-trip
- Extra food and drinks
- Medical expenses

Important Notice
The planned itinerary may change based on unforeseen circumstances including weather, political conditions, and local partner capabilities. Nomads of Hope will communicate itinerary changes promptly.

Refund Policy

Refund Policy for Nomads of Hope Building Projects Trips

• Total trip cost: $1,500.00

• Required deposit: $500.00 (non-refundable)

• If Nomads of Hope cancels the trip:
– All payments will be refunded in full, including the deposit

• If traveler cancels:
– Cancellation must be requested via email
– If cancelled 30 days or more before the trip start date:
* All payments will be refunded minus the $500.00 non-refundable deposit
– If cancelled less than 30 days before the trip start date:
* No refunds will be given

• No exceptions will be made to this policy unless otherwise stated by Nomads of Hope

Please note: It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure their cancellation request is received and acknowledged by Nomads of Hope within the specified time frame to be eligible for a partial refund.

VOLUNTEER RELEASE AND WAIVER
IMPORTANT: THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT AFFECTING YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS - READ CAREFULLY

Activity: Ecuador Service Project Trip

I, the Volunteer, execute this Release in favor of Nomads of Hope, Inc. (Massachusetts nonprofit corporation), its directors, officers, employees, and agents (collectively "Nomads").

Understanding of Activities
The Activities may include:
- Pre-trip and post-trip activities
- Community service activities
- Basic home repair and construction
- Educational and recreational activities
- Domestic and international travel

Terms and Conditions

Release and Waiver
- Volunteer releases Nomads from all liability, claims, and demands
- Covers bodily injury, illness, death, property damage/loss
- Includes incidents caused by Nomads' negligence
- Nomads assumes no obligation for financial or other assistance

Medical Treatment
- Volunteer releases Nomads from claims regarding any medical treatment/services
- Volunteer must provide proof of medical insurance
- Nomads does not provide medical insurance

Risk Assumption
Volunteer assumes all risks of injury/harm and releases Nomads from liability for:
- Injury
- Illness
- Death
- Property damage

Photographic Release
Volunteer grants Nomads all rights to:
- Photographic images
- Video recordings
- Audio recordings
- Associated royalties/proceeds

Legal Provisions
- Release governed by Massachusetts law
- Invalid clauses will not affect remaining provisions
- Release intended to be as broad as legally permitted
